Lake Placid, N.Y. Jan. 20, 2002 (AP)--Jeremy Bloom, the all-around athlete who put his football career at the University of Colorado on hold to pursue an Olympic medal, won the Gateway Freestyle Classic moguls Saturday.
Norway's Kari Traa won the women's moguls.
Bloom, of Loveland, Colo., finished with 27.96 points. Travis Mayer of Steamboat Springs, Colo., was second at 27.79, followed by Canadian Jean-Luc Brassard at 27.65.
Traa received 27.12 points, while Hannah Hardaway of Moultonborough, N.H., was second with 26.14. Jillian Vogtli, of Ellicotville, N.Y., placed third at 25.96.
