BARTLETT, NH - (News Release) - The ATP Slopestyle and ATP Big Air events are both going big at Attitash in Bartlett, New Hampshire over the February vacation week. These will be the second and third events in the four event ATP freeride series consisting of a Rail Jam, Slopestyle, Big Air and Skiercross/Ridercross taking place throughout the season.

"These are two critical events in the series. By the end of the Big Air event we will start to see who is in the running for the crown of ATP Freeride Champion," said Greg Keeler, freestyle coordinator and staff photographer. "Personally I would be signing up just to earn raffle tickets towards the 1962 Greenbrier - one sick ride."

The Slopestyle will take place on Sunday, February 18 at 11:00 AM in the ATP Fly Zone, Attitash's large terrain park on Thad's Choice. Competitors will take a series of runs on the parks signature rails, boxes and big hits and be judged on aerial maneuver, difficulty, landing accuracy and style.

The spectator-friendly Big Air is scheduled for Saturday, February 24 at 11:00 AM accompanied by the sounds of DJ Melee, resident DJ at Avalon, Boston, MA. Competitors in this event will be judged on degree of difficulty and execution as they launch off of a big hit located on Lower Ptarmigan.

Athletes can register in advance online at www.skireg.com or on the day of the event from 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM. There is a $15 registration fee plus a $10 refundable bib fee. Helmets are required and inverts are prohibited.

The overall series winner will be awarded prizes from event sponsors Atomic USA, Smith Optics and Attitash and more importantly bragging rights to "ATP Freeride Champion". Athletes competing in any or all of the ATP Freeride Series will be entered into a raffle to win the "ATP Free Ride" being raffled off at the final event.

The final event of the series, a Skiercross/Ridercross race, will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2007.

Athletes of all ages are welcome and can participate in one or all of the events throughout the series. Athletes must compete in at least three of the four events to be considered for the final prize and the ATP Freeride Champion title.
