After a successful test season (read: very few boneheads needed to be rescued), Jackson Hole will continue its new open-gate policy for 2000-01. For decades, locals have been poaching the Europe-worthy terrain beyond Jackson's ropes. Now five access gates throughout the resort provide a passageway to steeps and powder and cliff-speckled trees.
