Mammoth Mountain, CA - Chaz Guldemond continued his winning streak by taking first place and $10,000 in the rider-judged West Coast Invitational (WCI) Rail Jam at the Village at Mammoth Mountain on May 3, 2008. Guldemond performed a variety of tricks on his way to defeating a field of 18 of the world's best jibbers that included Lucas Magoon, Scotty Vine, Cameron Pierce, Darrell Mathes and others. This win followed his rider-awarded $5,000 first place win at the Vans Fiesta de la Pipa on May 2, 2008.
The rail jam took place on a custom built three-and-a-half story tall custom jib setup lined with a down rail, a kinked rail and a ledge for sliding. WCI competitor and Mammoth Unbound Team Rider Greg Bretz said, "I love being here in Mammoth for WCI every year. It's great to just hang out with all the other riders, have fun and ride the sick set-ups that Unbound builds for us."
As soon as Guldemond secured the win, spectators took Mammoth's Village Gondola to Canyon Lodge for a special concert featuring My-G and Talib Kweli.
