Donnelly, ID —  (News Release) — Tamarack Resort flipped the switch today on its third high speed quad and seventh lift — the Wildwood Express — opening up 140 acres of new terrain to skiers and riders.  This is the most significant piece of a $10,000,000 enhancement of the Tamarack Mountain completed during the course of last summer and fall.

The one-mile long Wildwood Express provides access to the resort's Wildwood Pod northern bowls and 1,700 vertical feet of advanced trail and gladed tree skiing.  This new terrain opens up an additional pod on the mountain and expands Tamarack's trail offerings from 25 to 35.  The amount of lift accessible off-trail terrain doubles, and some cliff skiing is now easily accessible, just a short hike from the lift. The new terrain encompasses a signature Tamarack grove which affords unique tree skiing without lower branches and hazardous tree wells.

"This Alta-like terrain is some of our finest for advanced and expert skiers, said Jean-Pierre Boespflug, CEO of Tamarack Resort.  "The fact that Tamarack is now a two-pod mountain elevates its status amongst US destination ski resorts.   Skiers now have access to two totally different exposures—northern and eastern—with completely different snow conditions and great views of both Payette and Cascade lakes.  We are very proud, continued Boespflug, "to have the Boise area's newest high-speed detachable quad.
