Leave it to the Quebecois to come up with a beer lover's après-ski paradise. Eight tables at the recently opened Bocke Resto-Bières¿a 10-minute ride from Mount Saint-Bruno, a busy Montrealer ski area with night skiing¿feature their own bottomless self-service beer taps. After you're seated, you're presented with a stein and the locks are removed from your table's free-flowing beer tap. As much high-quality microbrewed Unibroue U Cuvée speciàle Bocke as you and your friends care to consume is at your command. Yes indeedie, this novel concept can be dangerous if you lack self-discipline. But there are safeguards in place: Children under 18 are barred from the free-flowing taps section. And don't expect to sneak a steinful. Every ounce of draft that flows through the million-dollar system to your table appears on your bill. But hey, at 25 cents (Canadian) per fresh-brewed, high-quality ounce, it's a bargain.
