Völkl's P40 F1 Energy Rail ($825) World Cup GS race ski will feature the company's new Energy Technology. Running the length of the ski are two titanium chambers engineered to "manage the transmission of energy between the skier and the snow." This full-bore racer also has an Energy Rail plate that is affixed to the chambers. The plate slides freely so it doesn't affect the ski's flex.
