Brian Bielmann is a Hawaii-based surf photographer who shoots for magazines like Transworld Surf and companies like Volcom and Red Bull. In April, he competed against ski photographers at a photo contest at the Whistler World Ski and Snowboard Festival—and he won. We have no idea why, but for some reason, a German TV show and soundtrack album called Après Ski Hits has become hugely popular. Maybe it's the live performers or pop-like musical hits. Or maybe it's the tall, blond, German women dancing around on the stage. Either way, here's a glimpse into what the Germans think of as "après ski."
