As of this morning, the plan for the Squaw Valley stop of the Freeride World Tour was to let competitors tackle the infamous Tram Face. But then poor snow conditions led to a change of plans and today's run was can canceled. Instead, the event will move to Silverado tomorrow. Judge Tom Winter gives us the details.

Of course, you go to a ski resort for the good snow and terrain. But you've got to eat while you're there, right? We've done our research—eating at ski areas all over the country—and have selected the 10 best on-mountain restaurants in ski country. To call these places cafeterias simply doesn't do them justice.

It's not too often that I find myself saying, "Man, I wish I was there" about the east coast. But after seeing this POV footage by Nathan Steinbauer from this weeks’ storm at Smugglers' Notch, Vermont, I said exactly that. Nice to see some good old-fashioned high-speed tree skiing on a Friday afternoon.

Here’s the latest way they’re procrastinating: The Campus Rail Jam, a touring competition that scores freeskiers on urban jibs located on college campuses. The tour is hitting the road for their 2010 West Coast competition. Next stop: University of Colorado.

It was an unlucky day for America's two top female ski racers: Lindsey Vonn crashed into the fence during the GS race and obstructed the run of her teammate Julia Mancuso, who was granted a rerun but finished a disappointing 1.30 seconds behind the current leader. The second run of the race takes place Thursday.
