Career Highlight: Realizing skiing is a metaphor for self actualization
How long have you been skiing?
Since I can remember
What's normally going through your head when you're skiing?
Nothing, that's the best part!
What really excites you about the future of women's skiing?
It's never been more exciting! Personally, I am constantly learning that the only thing that limits me is my own imagination and I'm trying to share that with all women through a non-profit I co-founded called SheJumps.org. The most exciting thing? We can give back while charging ahead, I'm certain that's the "big picture" reason were here anyways.
What are your main goals for the 08-09 season?
Stomp the tricks I've been learning, head back to AK, participate in more activities that help other people live up to their potential.
Where is your favorite ski location of all time?
Jackson Hole, WY
What do you enjoy doing when you're not skiing?
Playing...soccer, waterskiing, mnt biking, drawing, painting, designing, working on SheJumps.org
Beyond the incredible mountains, what is your favorite part about living in Jackson Hole?
The comrodery of being squished in a tram, way out in the back country or sharing a slice of pizza with people that I love the snow and the mountains like I do. We'd do anything to be out there and the greatest parts are those few perfect moments in the deep pow with just a few friends when the camera isn't rolling and you have to pinch yourself to remember it's your job to share this with people.
What was your favorite aspect of filming with the Warren Miller crew this year?
Sharing it with rad girls who pushed each other in the greatest way. If every girl in the industry was like Rachel, Grete and Wendy, our sport would be on fire!
How many Warren Miller films have you been in?
Four, I think.
What's your favorite Warren Miller film?
Any of the old ones of course, I grew up in Sun Valley so I've gotta represent!
