Current favorite piece of gear?
Ski boots are the most important piece of equipment, so I dial in my Tecnica 9.3 boots where I'm madly in love. Also, totally in love with my Helly Hansen Icefall Down Jacket. It's lightweight for how puffy it is, and is like wearing a warm hug.
What is your number one goal in skiing/riding right now?
I've always had a habit of dropping my inside hand, which brings my center of mass too far to the inside. Seems i'm on a perpetual quest to keep that forward and be better balanced.
Best advice you were ever given?
Don't pee next to the helicopter. That rotor wash has a way of blowing snow around.
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
I'm really inspired by the amazing people I get to work with everyday. I'm so fortunate to be able to watch and work on hill with some of the greatest athletes and artists in the world. Growing up in Little Cottonwood, I've always really admired Lee Cohen's vision as a photographer and the style of the boys he worked with like Dave McReynolds and Jaime Pierre.
What is your greatest fear?
Dying, I don't like that idea at all.
Best moment filming with WME this year?
This year I got to film in Norway, which is easily the most beautiful country in the world. The Lyngen Alps where we were skiing... you have massive alpine peaks that run straight into the ocean. Skiing right to the water is something really special that blows me away every time.
