Favorite Quote: "Make a radical change in your lifestyle and begin to boldly do things which you may previously never have thought of doing, or been too hesitant to attempt. So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservation; all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. If you want to get more out of life, you must lose your inclination for monotonous security and adopt a helter-skelter style of life that will at first appear to you to be crazy. But once you become accustomed to such a life you will see its full meaning and its incredible beauty." - Jon Krakauer

Interview

What is your fondest childhood memory? Boat camping with my family, backpacking, going to Disney Land, my dad dressing up like for all of my birthdays, my mom being the most patient women I have ever met, and obviously skiing at my day care was a great memory.

What was the most memorable moment of your life ... on snow? There are a lot of very memorable moments that I have had on skis. I think that landing my first front flip and learning rails stick out to me as very vivid memories so I will go with that.

What would surprise your fans most about you? I have a worm bin.

Who’s your favorite musical artist that you’ve just heard of in the last 6 months? Tyler, The Creator and Curren$y

When you're having a bad day, what do you do to cheer up? First off, I try not to have any bad days. I live such an amazing life, it's actually hard to have bad days. I suppose if I am having a bad day, jumping in the lake is very refreshing and relaxing or going for a bike ride, walking my dogs, anything outside.

Who has influenced your skiing style the most? Eric Pollard, Pep Fujas, Tanner Hall, Shane McConkey

What are you passionate about after the snow melts? Biking, hiking, backpacking, learning, traveling, reading, cooking, climbing, photography, and spending time with family and friends.

What’s the best après-ski food? I'm a sucker for empanadas in South America. In the states, it is most definitely a cookie from Wildflour Bakery in Squaw.

We chatted with Warren Miller Entertainment athlete Michelle Parker as she was driving across the country on a road trip. Here's what she had to say about knee injuries, the snow at Squaw, and filming with WME.
