My trip to Points North Heli Adventures is complete, I got my best ski to day ratio ever, I was here 7 days and skied 5 of those. Our guide was Kip Garre, he took these photos of us during our shoot, I pulled them off the Points North Facebook page. Kip is the man, he has guided around the world, Antarctica, India and he rides for K2 and Mountain Hardware. You can’t ski in Alaska without a guide, and having a good guide is key to getting good shots. He showed us the best of the best, and it was never a...

    Hi Everyone,

Just a quick thanks to all involved for helping make my dream of filming a segment on Mt. Washington a reality. New England threw all she had at us and we managed to capture a wonderful story and the true essence and spirit of the White Mountains and the skiing there. For me it truly was "back where it all begins" and the Allman Brothers song by that same name has been in my head this week. It might be the perfect song for the segment.

    I'm off to Everest...

It's that time of year again. The guides and pilots from CMH Heli-Skiing, the team from K2 Skis and the crew from Warren Miller Entertainment, along with Andy Mahre and Tyler Ceccanti have been hard at 'work' for the last 6 days at the Monashee Lodge filming the CMH Heli-Skiing segment for this fall's ski movie. Looks like that in addition to some exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities, the skiing absolutely ROCKS and the snow is still piling up out there.

    Here's a sneak-peak of what we're...

I’d like to thank all those who made it possible, seen and unseen, for this opportunity to represent the ski community here in Gulmarg, Kashmir. With only a short case of Delhi belly, I’m doing my best to express the collective commitment to seeing ourselves in those we think are so different and, therefore, creating compassion in a place divided. I have come to recognize that no matter how far one travels from home, we can still find our tribe and a feeling of home in the mountains. It sounds cliche...

The quick back story of the 10th Mountain division piece for WME's 62nd film is this. I'm going to ski in and around the areas where the Mountain Troops of the 10thMountain Division trained between 1941 & 1946, prior to being deployed to fight in Italy. We have collected a number of interviews with the vets. We have tons of archive footage as well. So far,  we have had two days shooting interviews with the vets and three days getting some ski action shot. The first day of shooting ski action...

Click here for more photos from our shoot in Gulmarg, India.

We arrived safely in India, got loaded up and were on the road to Gulmarg. There's lots of snow and it's still snowing! We got good tree skiing shots today via Heli; there is really good, deep snow in the trees - it was fun.

The guides and pilot are great as we flew to an altitude of 15,000...

So I think it’s maybe time that I maybe explain something from an earlier post, maybe. I put up a few pics as “previews” for what might be ahead on my blog. I got a few questions about the one where I am hanging above a pool. It’s a fish eye lens, shot from the front seat of a helicopter. (See more behind-the-scenes photos from the trip here.)

    STILL DUMPING!!

Ugh, this is so frustrating. Usually snow is awesomely cool! But right now I want to do my tricks and it’s dumping in Breck. Maybe I just go down to Denver and see the sites to get my mind off of Dew Tour.

Here's a picture from the weekend. I was filming my segment for Warren Miller Entertainment and trying to get some training in, but as you can see, the weather wasn’t so hot for shooting or jumping. Too flat.
