Well, I made it! After a full day of travel from Seattle I have made it to Nesiko, Japan. I am here for two weeks filming a segment with Warren Miller Entertainment. Roman (the other skier being filmed) and I got out today to check out what this place has to offer. Not one person from this crew has been to Japan before so this is a learning experience for everyone. Japan is a very unique place and we are lucky enough to be staying at the Black Diamond Lodge. The guy who runs it deals with a lot of ski film crews like Level 1, MSP and lots of snowboard crews as well. I highly recommend this lodge if anyone decides to come here. Anyway, when we arrived we were told that we would rarely see the sun. Well, this morning, it just so happened that there were blue skies. We had a bit of a late start but we got to get up and check out the place. I'm very excited to see what everything has to offer and get as many banger shots as we can. Ill try and keep you updated with some good photos.
Thanks,
TC
Anytime Jess McMillan, Sierra Quitiquit and Julia Mancuso get together to shred, it's going to be epic. When they get together to shred in Iceland, some of the most beautiful arctic terrain in the world, it's mind blowing.
When Chris Patterson gets behind a camera, magical things happen. That's why he's the Director of Photography for Warren Miller Entertainment. Check out his Instagram photos while filming Seth Wescott and Rob Kingwill in Valdez, AK for Warren Miller's 64th ski movie, coming Fall 2013.
JT Holmes, Espen Fadnes and Chris Anthony joined our film crew in Kazakhstan to combine steep skiing and parachutes for Warren Miller's latest ski movie.

Marcus Caston was featured in Warren Miller's Flow State when we sent him to Chugach Powder Guides in AK with Ted Ligety and Phil Meier on his first heli-skiing trip. He also works as head photographer at Shred Optics, which allows him to combine skiing and photography into one supernova passion.
