Fall is one of my favorite times of the year, because it means winter is coming. The weather has cooled a little, ski magazines start releasing their gear guides, and we’re all dreaming about the winter ahead. The most important factor in getting us psyched for winter? Ski movie premieres.
The pressure's off. No one's watching. It's just you, your boards, and the mountain. The weather has broken and the snow is untracked. The only sound is that of your breath crystalizing in the winter air. There's only one place to go, but there's an infinite number of ways to get there. Adjust your gear, take a deep breath, and . . . like there’s no tomorrow.

Congratulations to the Grand Prize winner of The Warren Miller’s World Tour Sweepstakes, A. Deters of Fairlee, VT who has won the trip of a lifetime. Deters and three friends are going on a seven-day Heli-Skiing vacation to Canadian Mountain Holidays (CMH) in British Columbia, Canada. A guiding company to the core, CMH invented Heli-Skiing and has been guiding guests on skiing adventures since 1965. Deters and friends will experience unparalleled skiing, riding, and hospitality in some of the most awe-inspiring mountains on the planet.
Over the last couple of years, The Ski Channel enlisted some of the smartest people in the ski and snowboard industry and asked them to rank their top ski and snowboard films. They didn’t say “best” or “most influential” or anything else…just “top.” They then took their results, blended them together and tallied the results. Clearly it ain’t science…just a bunch ski bums, pro skiers, boarders and industry insiders picking their favs. We feel honored to have a few Warren Miller films in the list.
