Warren Miller’s Ticket to Ride Premieres in Salt Lake on October 11

The most respected name in winter sports films announces the World Premiere of the latest chapter in the legendary film series. The World Premiere will take place October 11, 2013 at Salt Lake City’s Abravanel Hall—don't miss athlete appearances, sponsor expo village and the after party, featuring hip hop group Hieroglyphics.

Salt Lake City will once again be the debut screening of the Warren Miller feature film. Fans can get ready to celebrate winter with Warren Miller’s Ticket to Ride, an action-packed journey to the most sought-after destinations of the world.  Athletes from the film will be in attendance at the World Premiere event on Friday, October 11th at Abravenal Hall to meet and greet with film attendees, take part in pre-film festivities, including an outdoor sponsor expo village, and sign autographs for fans for up to two hours before the event from 6pm to 8pm.  An official after party will follow the premiere featuring underground hip hop group Hieroglyphics. After party will take place at The Depot, 400 W. South Temple, and is presented by Discrete Headwear.

Athletes attending the World Premiere will include Tyler Ceccanti, Keely Kelleher, Elyse Saugstad and Crystal Wright from the film’s Montana segment. Michelle Parker and Doug Stoup will share stories from their experience in Greenland, plus more athletes featured in Iceland, Norway, the Alaskan Tordrillos, Valdez and more will be in attendance including Kaylin Richardson, Sierra Quitiquit, Colter Hinchliffe, Jess McMillan, Andy Mahre, Pep Fujas, Tommy Moe and Rob Kingwill.

Watch these athletes at their career-best, and discover the paths that put them at the top of the steepest peaks in the 64th annual ski and snowboard film, Warren Miller’s Ticket to Ride.

From the “epicenter of big lines” in Alaska to Montana’s Big Sky Country and the exotic winter playgrounds of Kazakhstan, Iceland and Greenland. The trams and trains in Switzerland will climb to Mt. Eiger, as the fishing boats in Norway carry you to the islands of Ålesund. Once again, winter begins with Warren Miller, and it’s time to get your Ticket to Ride.

Warren Miller’s Ticket to Ride World Premiere tickets are available at REI Salt Lake City, REI Sandy, ArtTix and Abravanel Hall box office. A second screening of Ticket to Ride in Salt Lake City will take place at 8pm on Saturday, October 12th.  The Official Warren Miller After Party featuring Hieroglyphics will follow the World Premiere of Ticket to Ride on Friday at The Depot. Event is 21+ and tickets for the after party are available at liveniteevents.com, smithstix.com and all smithstix outlets.
