The Warren Miller Film Tour serves as the official kick-off to winter and tours the U.S. from October to December, annually. ACCOUNT MANAGER, NATIONAL SPONSORSHIPS

Type: Full Time

Warren Miller Entertainment, part of the Active Interest Media Outdoor Group, is looking for a professional and motivated self-starter to serve as Account Manager for National Sponsorships to manage the planning, sales development, and execution of sponsorship and strategic partnership programs.

Responsibilities:

This role supports the day-to-day sponsorship sales and execution efforts of the Warren Miller film tour and content distribution platform. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Account Services

  • Oversee all sponsorship activation
  • Foster relationships with sponsors, bringing them new ideas that lead to up-sell opportunities throughout the course of the year
  • Assist in presentation of renewals
  • Manage Sponsorships for Warren Miller Film Tour and additional sponsorship programs, liaison for clients/agencies on event direction and execution, on-site sponsorship support/management

 Supervisory and Management Duties

  • Integral partner and help lead overall direction of sponsorship division to ensure that financial goals are met
  • Create and manage letter of agreements for all members of the sales team
  • Manage Sponsor Cost of Executions to ensure profitability of programs
  • Supervise all sponsor proposals, handbooks, and summary books for sponsor department (draft all Nationals)
  • Train Sponsor Liaisons on all National Sponsor deliverables
    • Including: Daily and weekly Sponsorship status updates, organizing sponsor kiosks, track/ship supplies to crews, review Sponsor Liaison reports, organize Tour photos, and communicate sponsor expectations to crew
  • Manage Comp Ticket fulfillment for National Sponsors
  • Client relations and management of Warren Miller National Sponsorship, consisting of the following:
    • Manage National Sponsor creative and branding assets for Sponsor inclusion in National Film Tour advertising campaign, collateral, on-screen branding, and lobby display materials
    • Conceptualize on-site brand campaign with Sponsor and Film Tour Operations, develop turnkey on-site activation, assist applicable sponsors in design/creation/management of on-site materials/staffing
    • Manage on-site staffing during Film Tour, work with sponsor to create branding guidelines and training manuals
    • Manage National Sponsor WME Coupons
    • Concept, Activate, Manage on-site/branding for sister properties presence at Warren Miller Film Tour
    • Source supplies and sponsor branding for sponsor booths, on-site activation and branding at the Film Tour
    • Traffic Sponsor: :30 commercials for Warren Miller Film Tour, work with production and clients to deliver on custom content within contracts including – promo pieces, web videos, mini film shorts, etc
    • Manage Snoworld Magazine insertion orders, ad delivery and positioning
    • Manage outside vendors, develop in-house graphics for National Film Tour (i.e. National Sweepstakes kiosk, Welcome Banners, and supervise Sponsor Brand Ad Slideshow)
    • Manage regional and non-profit partners affiliated with the Film Tour

 Website

  • Collect and Traffic National Sponsor’s online display ad creative & campaigns for WarrenMiller.com
  • Implement National Sponsor promotions and special offers on WME Coupons

 Sweepstakes & Database

  • Manage National Sweepstakes and Sweepstakes Card - including creation, opt-ins, subscription offers, question section, and management of sweepstakes affiliate, Ventura
  • Manage National Sponsors database post-Film Tour, coordinate access/usage of lists with National Sponsors & outside research vendor
  • Organize sends for National Sponsors, including working with outside research vendors to drill down targeted lists, opt-ins, etc

Promotions

  • Manage client-specific Social Media promotions/campaigns, work with Film Tour Marketing for Facebook & Twitter contests & outside vendors to activate larger social media campaigns
  • Liaison with Film Tour Marketing, National Sponsor Media/Door prizes
  • Develop copy, branding for promotions or extensions of Warren Miller and other event-related properties

Sponsor Proposals

  • Idea Generation and Strategy for National Partnerships programs
  • Use graphic design skill set to create custom mock-ups & digital/print adaptations for custom sponsorship programs/platforms
  • Research sponsorship prospects, current industry events & partnerships
  • Research sponsorship decision makers and build into sponsor database
  • Support sales; build out sponsorship proposals and play active role in idea generation/brainstorming for potential sponsorships & new platforms
  • Work with Sponsorship Director to build new partnerships and work within current partnerships to create new sponsorships, licensing platforms

Miscellaneous

  • Function as assets expert in Warren Miller Film Tour and sponsorship operations for marketing/sales reps to communicate and share resources
  • Organize Sponsor Screenings
  • Coordinate VIP / Backstage Parties
  • Design invitations, promotional materials, etc for events/web promotion
  • Source & order promo items and premiums for Tour sponsors, client gifts, etc
  • And, of course, perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, or related fields
  • 2-5 years account management experience in similar role preferred
  • Experience in outdoor/snowsports industries preferred
  • Knowledge and experience leveraging traditional and new media and event platforms
  • Experience should include roles with responsibility towards revenue growth
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Expert PowerPoint and Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with design software a big plus

DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST

Warren Miller Entertainment, part of the Active Interest Media Outdoor Group, is looking for Digital Marketing Specialist for the Warren Miller Entertainment Film Tour Department. The Digital Marketing Specialist will be involved with all digital aspects of the WME brand and event marketing needs and report to the Marketing Director.

Primary Responsibilities:

Digital support of the Warren Miller brand accross all digital channels and surrounding the annual Warren Miller film tour, including email marketing, website and social support, recapping, analytics, and more:

  • Lead WME email marketing campaign, including template design, building html templates, proofing emails, scheduling sends, list health & management
  • Design and deployment of WME weekly e-newsletter
  • End-of-tour recap of email marketing and analytics
  • Execution of sponsored email sends
  • Organization of and maintenance of sponsor lists with WME database partner, email deployment and reporting
  • Implement digital ad campaigns, promotions, track delivery and reporting of campaigns on warenmiller.com and Warren Miller social networks
  • Publish editorial and content for warrenmiller.com and wmecoupons.com, including the creation of all event pages on warrenmiller.com, coordinating and maintaining event information, ticketing, offers and ticket sales links
  • Execute sweepstakes, promotions, and contests on warrenmiller.com
  • Identify bugs on websites and work with Marketing Director to find the best solution to address site issues
  • Publish editorial & video content on warrenmiller.com
  • Occasional design of web graphics including ads, social billboards, and any digital marketing materials
  • Work with Marketing Director to create social ad campaigns and promotions for Film Tour across various channels
  • Support department in material creation and promotions for the annual film tour such as PR materials, trailers, clips, collateral, sweeps, gear store, street team promotions, etc
  • Responsible for end-of-tour recaps of digital marketing including email, social and website analytics
  • Oversee WME’s customer feedback via coupon site forms and feedback email
  • Position may require attendance at WME events as needed for on-site support and coverage of film screenings and industry events

Requirements:

  • 2+ years digital marketing experience, bachelors degree in technology and digital media or relevant work experience preferred
  • Strong familiarity with html and email marketing software, including Salesforce 
  • Proficiency in google docs and other file-sharing programs
  • Familiarity with Facebook advertising, Google AdWords and executing digital ad campaigns
  • Sharp strategic thinker
  • Ability to adapt to and stay organized in fast-paced environments
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to speak fluently to clients and customers
  • Passion for and experience in outdoor/snowsports industries appreciated

SPONSORSHIP & MARKETING INTERN (SPRING 2018): 

Warren Miller Entertainment is seeking a talented and organized Sponsorship and Marketing Intern in Boulder, CO. This internship is open to students who seek college credit. This is a great opportunity for networking and experience in the outdoor and sports industry.

Candidates must be detail-oriented and organized and looking to work hard while learning about events, sponsorship sales and marketing. Intern will gain event execution, sales support and account services experience. Interest in events, media and advertising encouraged. This internship is a great opportunity for a highly motivated student who is looking for real-world experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the support of sponsorship proposals for marquee events
  • Develop event presentations on market-by-market basis for national-scale events
  • Work with Account Managers, Marketing and Creative departments to develop, organize and design event presentation for up to 80 markets
  • Event support and assistance in planning, execution and sponsorship activation for event partners and National Sponsors
  • Communicate and work with event crew sponsor liaisons to receive detailed sponsor reports, photos and recap information
  • Traffic sponsor ad creative, ticket fulfillment and trafficking and up-keep of general sponsor materials
  • Organize, assist in management and shipping of event door prizes
  • Generate detailed and timely sponsorship reports
  • Organize and update sales materials
  • Assist the sponsorship department with a variety of tasks when necessary and in day-to-day activities

Requirements:
