The Warren Miller Film Tour serves as the official kick off to winter and tours the U.S. from October to December, annually. The Film Tour promotes excellence in entertainment and the snowsports industry by showcasing our annual feature film and providing an exciting and unique atmosphere and an incredible event experience for our attendees, sponsors, clients and athletes.

WME is currently seeking a Marketing & Content Intern for Spring/Summer 2017.

Job Summary: Warren Miller Entertainment’s Marketing Department is hiring a Marketing and Content (M & C) Intern for the summer of 2016. The M & C Intern will work as a member of the Warren Miller team and will be focused on generating original content for the Warren Miller Entertainment website and social channels. The M & C Intern will also be involved in many facets of marketing preparation of our fall film tour and hands-on help as needed. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player and has interest in storytelling, writing, events, marketing and a passion for skiing and/or snowboarding and the outdoors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and write in-depth articles and/or multimedia stories relating to snowsports and outdoor adventure.

  • Help create relevant online content by building small article pages or photo galleries.

  • Assist is the curation of assets on social media ie) Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

  • Spearhead our “From the Archives” Project by pulling vintage print articles and video clips and repurposing them on our website and social pages.

  • Maintain a content brainstorming and organizational database documenting the status of current projects.

Additional Marketing Support

  • Assist in creation of PR and marketing materials and distribution such as press kit, TV clips, TV slides, print and digital advertising

  • Assist with collateral proofing process & printing

  • File management and organization of server/cloud folder and documents

  • Proofreading dates, times & event details on print collateral, emails, web pages, etc.

  • General assistance in helping to get our team organized and ready for the annual fall film tour.

Required Skills

  • Passion for writing and storytelling

  • Knowledge of AP Style Writing and basic editing

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Docs

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred

  • Basic knowledge of HTML a plus

  • Attention to detail and organization

  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • BONUS for strong photography or videography skills
